Franciacorta Brut<\/strong><\/p>\n OUR JOURNEY<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text woodmart_inline=”no” text_larger=”no”]<\/p>\n Franco Ziliani envisaged a cuv\u00e9e that capitalised on typical land characteristics to produce timeless harmony, and in 1979 started selecting the most suitable terrain, which has now reached a total of 30 hectares.<\/p>\n Fifteen plots are situated among the hills of Monticelli Brusati and Ome, between 200 and 400 m above sea level facing East-South and West, making a total of 11 hectares of Chardonnay, 4 of Pinot Nero and 1 of Pinot Bianco on fine soil.<\/p>\n Proceeding along the Morainic Amphitheatre leads to more compact terrain with gravel and clay, where five vineyards are situated between the districts of Paderno Franciacorta, Passirano and Provaglio d\u2019Iseo, with 5 hectares of Pinot Nero and 3 of Chardonnay.<\/p>\n The Antica Fratta mosaic is complete with 6 hectares of Chardonnay in the district of Calino, with deep Morainic subsoil more suited to bringing out the qualities of the fruit in this variety.<\/p>\n From this terroir, following a gentle pressing with a maximum yield of 45%, Antica Fratta aims to enhance a perpetual blend in the bottle: the wines from the most recent harvest are combined with carefully selected reserve wines from previous vintages, aged for about a year in French oak barrel sand stoneware amphorae.
